The recent flood in Nashville hasn't gotten as much attention as the residents of Music City expected. This flood, however, could be the most expensive natural disaster in history, causing an estimated $1 billion in damage so far.
This friendly city is close to my heart, so I want to share a few pieces of art that have been made to benefit flood relief!
Phil Thornton of Phindy Studios and Family Tree Illustration teamed up to make this pretty little number, available for purchase here.
Hatch Show Print, Nashville's beloved letterpress poster shop, was (phew!) not damaged by the rising waters of the Cumberland River. The printers there got together with Griffin Technology and made a limited edition of 250 iPhone cases and posters.
Check out Griffin Technology's Flickr page for more photos of the process of making these awesome iPhone cases. You can purchase the iPhone case or a poster here, and all profits go straight to Nashville for flood relief!
Mattson Creative is making this image available for download for anyone to reproduce as stickers, prints, t-shirts, or anything else that can be sold to support flood relief. They list some of the organizations to donate the proceeds to. Or if you like, you can buy a sticker here.
