So I was totally blown away when I read on notcot.com about a floor that was tiled entirely with pennies — what a dazzling and unexpected effect! You can find this floor at the Standard Grill, at the Standard Hotel NYC that opened earlier this year.

But THEN I came across something even crazier that I can't believe I didn't know about sooner — an Amsterdam installation by Sagmeister, Inc. entitled "Obsessions Make My Life Worse and My Work Better." Truer words were never spoken, and what designer doesn't want to be Stefan Sagmeister, at least a little bit?
