Friday launched the country’s largest Beer Event right here in our backyard — Philly Beer Week. I had the pleasure of attending my first event at Teresa’s Next Door — Thomas Hooker Brewer night. I had their amazing 2007 Old Marley Barleywine which includes Chocolate Wheat Malt and other ingredients that is aged in an oak bourbon-cask to add vanilla tones!!! This was RICH and FLAVORFUL just like it boasts on the label. I got to talking to the brewmaster and the sales director and explained what we do over here at Two Paperdolls while complimenting their fine beer, and found myself wondering — have we ever done branding or a logo for a brewery? I checked with Vanessa, and sadly the answer was no... but I would like to call out some of my favorite beer logos.
Stone Brewing Company out of San Diego
I LOVE the gargoyles (and beer). There is a levitating gargoyle, an arrogant gargoyle and a downright ominous gargoyle. You know you are going to get into something good with this beer.
Sly Fox Brewery out of Phoenixville
The local favorite — this brewery is right down the way from me and so is the company that did their branding. Apparently, the logo was created from the brewmaster’s sketch.
Magic Hat out of Burlington, Vermont
From Lucky Cat, to Circus Boy, to #9, each one has its own color and sense of style to match the brew.
The Philly Beer Logo
Inspired by the ever popular LOVE PARK statue.
What are some of your favorite beer logos?
