I found Emersonmade online awhile ago and just recently stumbled upon her website again. I'm still in love with her gorgeous handmade fabric flowers and the soft colors she picks.

Today at the Dollhouse, I picked up the Spring/Summer 2010 issue of Brides Philadelphia to find a bridesmaid's dress that I am just drooling over. Lucky for me, the designer sells her pieces on Etsy, at her store SarahSeven. After looking at hundreds of boring alternatives, I'm finally excited to wear such a dainty and beautiful dress for my only sister's wedding! She and I have very different styles, but lucky for me I get to pick out what I want to wear - THIS DRESS!!!!!
I'm also seriously in love with this adorable boutonniere...maybe MyraKim
on Etsy could outfit my sister's wedding party? (I would love a corsage
or bouquet like this to match my bridesmaid's dress!)

Ah, my sister's bridal shower is on Saturday and while I'm very excited about seeing family and friends, I'm not excited about all the last minute running around I have to do! The theme of the party is a whimsy "Alice in Wonderland" garden tea party. We are having each of the guests bring an antique teacup and saucer for Maliya, my sister, to start a collection of her own. The teacup I picked out looks very much like the bottom one in the stack.
As part of the garden theme, I decided to make cute, little "bug" tea cakes as favors for the guests. I used this backyard bug pan from the martha stewart collection.
After six hours of baking with an awesome lemon poppy seed recipe, here's the finished product. They were just brushed with a yummy lemon glaze.
I have to send out a huge thank you to my husband for helping me with all the baking. Kudos, Brian, you rock! I'll post the pictures from the shower next week!

I cannot get over how clever this wedding photo booth is, made by the groom and a friend... the "frames" make it unique from other photo booths out there (and add so much fun and charm).

Sometime not too long ago, I stumbled upon the blog of Anna Bond. She is the illustrator and designer behind Florida based Rifle, who really has a good thing going when it comes to wedding invitations.
I love her illustrations. She offers stationery, calligraphy, save the dates, invitations, and even items like paper fans if you are interested. Every job is tailored to the client and even though they have their obvious differences, each one is undoubtedly hers — I think that's a rare thing these days.

What's great about the iPhone is that if you want to keep salon information and wedding gown notes all in one place... there's an app for that. If you want to keep details about your favorite wedding dresses to show your friends... there's an app for that. And if you want to take a photo and add it to your digital dress file... there's an app for that. Yes, that's right, ladies — meet iBridalgown.
My husband works for Apple, and I (of course) carry an iPhone. I think this is a great way to organize your information while shopping for a wedding dress. Some of the features include Anatomy of a Bridal Gown, Bridal Gown Silhouettes, Necklines, Trains and Fabrics. And at $3.99 it is a great investment over a binder or an organizer.

Our friends over at Eclatante have been putting together monthly color stories on their blog, and they asked for a little help in the stationery department. Of course, we were happy to oblige. This month's color story was staged in the magical Carousel Room at the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia. The color palette consisted of shades of purple, lavender, periwinkle and white.
